Ingredients for Ghee Rice:

  1. 2 cups Basmati rice Kaima/.
  2. 4 cups water Boiling.
  3. 2 numbers Cinnamon pieces.
  4. 6 numbers Cardamom.
  5. 6 numbers Clove.
  6. 1 number Bay leaf.
  7. 2 tablespoons Ghee.
  8. 1/2 teaspoon Lime juice.
  9. to taste Salt.
  10. For Garnishing.
  11. 3/4 cup Onion, sliced.
  12. 1/4 cup Cashew nuts.
  13. 2 tablespoons Ghee.
  14. Oil - for deep frying.

Step by step how to cook Ghee Rice:

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside..
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add cinnamon, cardamom, clove, bay leaf and rice. Stir for 5 minutes..
  3. Add boiling water, salt and lime juice. Cover and cook on low flame till the water is dried completely and the rice is cooked. Seperate the cooked rice with a fork..
  4. Garnish with fried onion and roasted cashew nuts. Serve with any veg or non veg curry of your choice..
