Ingredients for Tofu Sisig:
- 500 g firm tofu cut into cubes.
- 1 cup canola or cooking oil.
- 3-4 cloves minced garlic.
- 1/2 cup diced onions.
- 2 chopped green long chilis with the seeds removed.
- 1/2 diced green bell peppers.
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce.
- 2 tablespoons water.
- to taste Salt and pepper.
- Optional: calamansi and fried egg.
Step by step how to cook Tofu Sisig:
- Deep fry tofu until golden brown and crunchy. Drain oil and set aside..
- Sautè garlic and onions until onions are translucent..
- Add mayonnaise, oyster sauce and water. Stir and simmer on low fire for about 2 minutes until it slightly thickens..
- Add fried tofu and bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes..
